Position Description

Location: Garden City, KS

Salary: $30.00 USD Hourly - $35.00 USD Hourly

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Medical / Surgical RN in Garden City, KS!

Compensation Overview

  • Hourly Pay: $35.50 (Weekly Total: $1,278.00)
  • Housing Stipend: $770.00/week
  • Meals & Incidentals: $476.00/week
  • Overtime Rates: $53.25/hr; $40.00/hr (after 40 hours)
  • Total Weekly Gross Pay: $2,524.00

Assignment Details

  • Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes
  • Duration: Starting 03/31/2025, 3 shifts/week, 36 hours per week
  • On-Call: Not required
  • Floating: May be required within a 60-mile radius or “float zone”
  • Travel Type: Clinical-Nursing-Travel

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Certifications Required:
    • State RN license or RN license from a participating state in the NLC
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred (Nursing skills specific to specialty required)
  • Languages: English (Read, Write, Speak)
  • Skills Preferred: Familiarity with Epic charting system
Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional patient care by assessing physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs and developing individualized care plans.
  • Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions such as IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
  • Collaborate with patients and families to educate and align care with patient preferences and values.
  • Promote a culture of safety, advocacy, and accountability, while demonstrating respect for cultural diversity.
  • Utilize organizational resources effectively to deliver cost-efficient, high-quality care.
  • Act as a professional role model, mentor new staff, and seek continuous learning opportunities.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
