How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Lead life-saving interventions for critically ill trauma patients by executing precise clinical protocols in high-pressure environments.
  • Drive the continuity of care by serving as the central coordinator between multidisciplinary teams, ensuring every specialist is aligned on the patient’s recovery path.
  • Evaluate and adapt individualized care plans in real-time to respond to fluctuating patient conditions and improve clinical outcomes.
  • Advocate for patients and their families by managing the discharge and transition process, ensuring a seamless and safe handoff from the ICU to the next phase of healing.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Certification obtained within six months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

What Additional Preferences We're Seeking

  • Trauma ICU Expertise: A minimum of 1 year of recent, hands-on experience in a dedicated Trauma Intensive Care Unit.
  • Leadership Foundation: At least 1 year of experience serving in a Charge Nurse capacity, demonstrating the ability to manage unit flow and mentor staff.
