Logo Contest

Overview

The Kansas Organization of Nurse Leaders (KONL) is launching a logo design contest to create a new, modern, professional, and recognizable logo that reflects our mission to support nurse leaders across Kansas. We invite designers, students, healthcare professionals, and members of the community to submit their creative ideas.

Contest Timeline

• Contest Launch: August 1st, 2025
• Submission Deadline: December 31st, 2025
• Judging Period: January 1st, 2026 through January 31st, 2026.
• Winner Announcement: February 2026, with Logo unveiling at the 2026 KONL Spring Conference in April 2026.

Eligibility

• Open to all individuals (age 18+)
• Participants may submit individually or as a team.
• No limit on the number of entries per person/team.

Design Requirements

Your logo design should:

• Reflect KONL’s mission: advancing nurse leadership and healthcare excellence in Kansas.
• Be original and not infringe on any copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights.
• Incorporate the full name “Kansas Organization of Nurse Leaders” and the acronym “KONL”
• Be suitable for both digital and print use.
• Work in color and black & white formats.
• Be scalable (from business cards to banners).
• Be submitted in high-resolution formats (see “Submission Format” below).

Submission Format

Each submission must include:

• The logo in full color and black & white.
• File types: AI or EPS (vector), PNG (transparent background), and JPG.
• A short description (100–250 words) explaining the design concept and meaning behind the logo.
• Name, email, and contact phone number of the designer.

Judging Criteria

Logos will be evaluated based on:

• Relevance to KONL’s mission and values
• Creativity and originality
• Visual impact and clarity
• Versatility and scalability
• Overall design quality
  • A panel of KONL board members will select the winner.

Prize

Winning Designer will receive:

• $50 Amazon Gift Card
• Certificate of recognition
• Bragging rights

Legal & Usage Rights

• By entering, participants agree that KONL will have full rights to use the winning logo across all media.
• KONL reserves the right to make slight modifications to the winning logo for final use.
• Non-winning entries remain the property of the designer.
